Development of a Route Planning System for Electric Public Transport (TÜBİTAK)
Project Aim
The project aims to overcome the constraints of electric vehicle usage for public and private transport operators, reducing planning and operational costs. By digitizing and systematizing route planning and decision-making processes, it seeks to increase efficiency, decrease labor spent on planning by at least 60% through roster planning, and generate solutions for optimal route planning using scenario analysis. The project will provide a system that prevents inefficient routes and unnecessary vehicle usage while considering constraints related to electric vehicles, charging stations, and batteries. It also aims to reduce urban public transport-related carbon emissions by promoting electric vehicle usage. Additionally, by utilizing socio-demographic data, the project will facilitate the transition to a sustainable public transport system and develop a route planning system for electric public transport that benefits both businesses and the community.
